As our community returns to work, restaurants and public spaces, the State of Ohio, Franklin County and the City of Columbus are requiring everyone to #MaskUpCbus and don a face mask while in public.

While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Ohio Department of Health recommend face coverings to slow the spread of COVID-19, they can also be an opportunity to show support for your favorite Columbus sports team!

Here are a few sports-themed face mask options for sale from Columbus teams and retailers, allowing you to sport your team’s colors while staying safe:

Columbus Blue Jackets

Show your CBJ pride with team logo fabric face masks available from the Columbus Blue Jackets Official Shop. The NHL will donate royalties from each face mask purchase to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, making the purchase even more worthwhile.

Columbus Clippers

In April, the Columbus Clippers announced they had partnered with the Ohio National Guard to distribute masks to those in need. Now that face coverings are also recommended for the public, you can rep the team with face masks from the team store.

Columbus Crew SC

The Crew SC are another Columbus team giving back during the pandemic through the sale of face coverings. A variety of face mask styles are available on the team store website, and proceeds from face covering sales will be donated to Feeding America an Food Banks Canada to fight food insecurity in the wake of COVID-19.

Ohio State

Ohio State Athletics warmed hearts in April when the Ohio State Rowing team announced it had donated nearly 900 items of apparel to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction to be used for face mask production for staff and the incarcerated population across the state. Ohio State is also working in partnership with licensed local retailer Bend Active that is selling scarlet and gray masks alongside its Buckeyes apparel.

Homage

Local favorite retailer Homage is using its apparel production capabilities for face masks. In true Homage fashion, you can buy the cloth masks in a variety of local team colors, from black and gold to goal red and union blue.
