Hosting a UFC event for the first time in 13 years, the Columbus set a record for the highest-grossing UFC Fight Night in history on March 26 at Nationwide Arena, according to UFC public relations.    

UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Daukaus recorded a sellout crowd of 18,630 and $1,921,988.24 gate.  It marked the third UFC event Columbus has hosted, joining UFC 96: Jackson vs. Jardine in 2009 and UFC 82: Pride of a Champion in 2008. Columbus was poised to host UFC on ESPN: Ngannou vs. Rozenstruik in 2020 before the event was cancelled.
