New Year's Eve is a big day for Columbus sports. The Blue Jackets host the Chicago Blackhawks at 1 p.m. and the Ohio State Buckeyes play the Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff Semis in the Peach Bowl at 8 p.m. ET. Since New Year's Eve is already a busy night at bars and restaurants, here's our list of places you can cheer on the Buckeyes while ringing in 2023.

The Buckeyes are in the CFP for the fifth time since it started in 2014. In the team's last appearance in 2021, they beat Clemson in the semifinals before falling to Alabama in the championship. This will be Ohio State's first appearance in the Peach Bowl which is college football's ninth-oldest bowl. The Scarlet & Gray have appeared in all but one of the ten oldest bowl games - never playing in the Sun Bowl.
