COLUMBUS, OH (October 27) – For the first time, Columbus will host the TEAMS Conference & Expo in 2025, convening the world’s foremost leaders in sports event space.

Presented by SportsTravel, the 2025 TEAMS Conference & Expo will take place Oct. 11-16, 2025 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Linda Logan, CEO, Greater Columbus Sports Commission, said the event brings in more than 1,000 leaders in the sports event space, ranging from CEOs to executive directors and event managers. She added that corporate sponsors, event suppliers, and other hospitality industry opinion leaders will be present to learn about “what’s now and what’s next” in the sports event industry. Plus, several national and global organizations will meet in conjunction with TEAMS 25:

  • United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee
  • The National Congress of State Games
  • The Dare to Dream Experience

“This is a special opportunity to bring together the biggest sporting event organizers in the country to Columbus and show them how we host world-class events for participants and spectators alike,” Logan said.

According to SportsTravel, economic development and sporting events go hand-in-hand. Sports-related travel generates 90 million room nights and $32 billion in direct spending every year. Data shows sports is one of the strongest segments in the entire travel industry.

In addition to Columbus’ being named the host of TEAMS 25, Atlantic City, New Jersey was named the host for TEAMS 29.

“Columbus and Atlantic City have been steadfast advocates for the sports-event industry,” said Jason Gewirtz, vice president of the Sports Division of Northstar Meetings Group, which organizes the event. “Attendees who return with us for these future TEAMS Conferences will experience each of these cities' amazing abilities to provide event organizers with unique venues for their events and memorable experiences for their attendees.”
