Community Youth Camp | June 2023

All Sports for all Kids

The Community Youth Camp presented by The Columbus Foundation is back for 2023! Your child will learn the basics of more than a dozen sports over four days. Coaches make the fundamentals fun and help 6- to 12-year-olds build confidence and learn life skills through sports. We offer two session choices to better fit your schedule. Registration is live on February 9! Just tap or click the session you want to sign up for below.

Sport Sampling

The focus is on trying several sports throughout the week so your kids can discover what they like to play. Here's a list of our locked-in sports for 2023.

  • Basketball, Combat Sports, Lacrosse, Flag Football, Hockey & Field Hockey, Soccer, Track & XC, Volleyball, Yoga & Stretching, Volleyball, Tennis & Pickleball.

Life Lessons

Throughout camp, we get off the fields and court to learn life lessons. Sometimes those come from interactive Q&As with local athletes and business leaders. Last year, campers heard from Kamryn Babb of Ohio State Football and Sean Kuraly of the Blue Jackets. Other times, our camp staff lead an activity with a lesson packed inside - like a cup stacking challenge to build teamwork. Here are some of the values our life lessons focus on:

  • Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Self-Confidence, Mental Health

Just Add Water

Make sure your kid wears sneakers, athletic clothes and brings a water bottle. We've got everything else they need to play, learn and grow. Here's what's included:

  • Lunch every day
  • Healthy snacks during breaks
  • Equipment to play (you'll even go home with some new sports equipment!
  • A Camp T-shirt

If you're not sure about sending your children to a sports camp, here are five reasons we think it's a great idea - whether you go to ours or somewhere else.
