See why Columbus Has No Offseason!

Connecting You to the Ever-Changing Sports Industry

We created the Virtual Sports Report in April 2020 to connect you to local sports teams and professionals to talk all things sports while we navigated cancelled seasons and sports events. As we continue into 2021, sports events are returning with new and ever-changing framework.

We’ve relaunched the Virtual Sports Report to give our audience a chance to hear from and connect with sports leaders, both within our community and nationwide, on the latest sports industry news.

Thursday, June 24, 11 a.m. EST – Columbus Crew

Just before the Columbus Crew opens its new downtown stadium, team Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Steve Lyons will join the Virtual Sports Report to discuss the team’s efforts around the grand opening. Lyons will discuss the legacy that the MLS Champions hope to create in their new home and the community partnerships that made Lower.com Field a possibility. He’ll also speak to how the addition of a second soccer-specific stadium elevates Columbus’ reputation as a premier sports destination for major soccer and other sports events. Attendees will be able to ask Steve their questions about the team’s community efforts and Lower.com Field at the end of the episode.
