Columbus is Volleyball

Columbus is where the game is built, talent is developed and champions are crowned.

The Game is Built Here
Sports Imports, headquartered in Hilliard, is the leading volleyball equipment provider in the country. Their equipment is used by more than 90% of all NCAA D1 Volleyball programs and 80% of college programs over all levels. Additionally, you'll find Sports Imports net systems at thousands of high schools and rec centers from coast to coast. Around 75% of their manufacturing is done locally in the Columbus area. With 61,000+ net systems sold since 1976 and partnerships with the NCAA, USA Volleyball, NFHS and the AVCA, Sports Imports is at the center of every volleyball championship.

Talent is Developed Here
The Ohio Valley Region (OVR) is USA Volleyball's largest region with 25,000 members. Covering Ohio, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania, OVR has more than 190 clubs comprising 2,000 teams and has 500 professional officials in its ranks. The 2021 USA Volleyball Junior National Championships welcomed 70 teams from the region. Six-Time National Champion Mintonette Sports is one of the marquee clubs in the region and based at Fieldhouse USA at Polaris.

Champions are Crowned Here
Since 2000, Columbus has hosted 18 national volleyball events through with four more on the docket in coming years. That long list of events spans all ages and sexes and includes hosting part of seven NCAA tournaments and several USA Volleyball events. 2021 marks the second time Columbus will host the D1 Women’s Championship at Nationwide Arena. Since the turn of the century, Columbus is the only city to host both the NCAA Men's National Championship and Women's D1 National Championship in the same year.
