The Community Cup 2018 Sports Challenge, presented by The Columbus Foundation, is a one-day challenge that rallies organizations to compete in all-skill-level contests. Companies that participate help build camaraderie among their team, promote the importance of physical fitness and demonstrate why Columbus is top place to live, work and play.
About the Event
The Community Cup will be held on Sept. 15, 2018 at Otterbein University.
The Community Cup will kickoff with opening ceremonies where participants, families and friends will gather to wish each other good luck before starting the competitions. Trophies will be awarded for each division per contest immediately following the completion of events.
It’s Easy to Participate
The Community Cup will include eight events.
Four Wellness; one-mile walk, corn hole, golf chipping, football toss
Four Competitive; 5k race, 3v3 basketball, tug of war, dodgeball
The Tailgate Zone will serve as home base for your company throughout the day. This area is specifically designated for participants and provides a place to recharge between activities.
Organizations will be placed into divisions depending on the amount of employees in their Columbus Region offices.
- Division I (1000 + employees) $2,200
- Division II (500-999 employees) $1,900
- Division III (100-499 employees) $1,500
- Division IV (under 100 employees*) $1,300
*Two companies with under 50 employees each may create a team and be recognized as one entry
Invite the Entire Family
The event will also feature a Family Fun Zone- a dedicated area that will provide activities and snacks for those not participating in the event and families can show their support by making signs for participants.
