Be a Sports Journalist

The “Be a Sports Journalist” program was designed to provide a select group of high school students with the opportunity to be part of the working media at the 2012 OHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships, on Saturday, March 24. This program provided a real sports journalism experience to the students, as they were seated at press row, covered the championship games, attended the post-game news conferences and were able to spend time with professional working media to learn about their career paths. Additionally, the students were recognized on the court for their participation in this program.

The students were chosen with the assistance of the Ohio Scholastic Media Association through their sports news contest and sports online contest. Check out stories from the students below!
