“To see all that history is amazing,” Maggert said. “The fact is, this is where Jack walked the fairways when he was 12 and 13 and 14 and Bobby Jones played here and won … and that gives me the motivation to come back here and put my name up there with some of the great champions.”

But the upcoming Shootout for Soldiers on July 16-17, a 24-hour lacrosse event and family-fun festival and fundraiser for veteran’s organizations, is different.
“This is by far the most unique and fun sporting event I’ve ever been involved with,” said Dote, who will play on about half a dozen teams during the tournament at Thomas Worthington High. “And the idea behind it, and what it stands for, makes it even more special.”

COLUMBUS (July 13, 2016) – The National Volleyball League (NVL) is heading to Columbus July this weekend for the next stop on its professional beach volleyball tour. The “Soul of Beach Volleyball” will host its Midwest Championships July 14-16 at Flannagan’s Dublin, a venue that boasts 13 beach volleyball courts, a Vegas-style swim up pool bar, and a 6,000 square foot sports bar.
