Black Friday Bash: The Clash in Columbus!

Nov 20 Bowling-Green.BLOG

Many will be fighting the crowds this Black Friday but many (maybe you) will be in the stands experiencing the first ever NCAA Division I football game at Crew Stadium.

The Bowling Green State Falcons will host the University of Buffalo Bulls at 2:00 p.m. in their last game of the regular season. Currently, sitting at 7-4 and 5-2 in conference the Falcons are ranked second behind Kent State in the MAC East. Bowling Green is 6-3 all-time verse Buffalo and look poised to continue that success.

Columbus Crew stadium opened in 1999 as the first soccer-specific stadium in the United States. Crew Stadium’s 20,000+ capacity and location in the heart of downtown Columbus provide a phenomenal venue for an exciting MAC football game.

Columbus is already a popular destination on Black Friday with the start of the holiday shopping season. Polaris Fashion Place, Easton Town Center, The Mall at Tuttle Crossing and shops in the Short North all offer premier shopping and dining experiences in Ohio’s largest city. Columbus provides the opportunity of a fun filled day for the whole family with the football game at Crew stadium coupled with shopping and dining options in the city.

Tickets start at just $15, and fans may visit and enter the special code FALCONS to order. Fans can also purchase tickets to the game through the BGSU Athletics Ticket Office or at the Crew Stadium Box Office. Tickets for the match-up were also included in the ticket package given at the Greater Columbus Sports Commission’s The Morning Sports Report.
